The camera I’m going to mention to you to is a slightly superior, all-in-all, than my last point and shoot camera, which is also absolutely great, and I’ll teach you about that one as well, since it also has some great features.
Some of the most important features I strive for in the best digital point and shoot cameras are first of all optical zoom, close-up macro, color quality, flexibility of image setting such as white-balance and exposure, low-light handling, image-stabilization, and weight. The Lumix camera is superior in that it has 12x zoom and is arguably better due to its Leica lens, but it doesn’t have the new panoramic sweep mode and is a little bigger and heavier. However, the Lumix is about $80 less expensive than the the HX5.
These two cameras are the best point and shoot cameras. Pick among them based on how much cashyou are wlling to drop, confident that, in either way, you have the very best point and shoot digital camera at that price.
