Pentax Optio WG-1 – Tougher than Old Boats and Captures Great Images Too

The Pentax Option WG-1 is one of the most durable digital cameras available today. It is perfect for those who spend a lot of time in high-impact activities or just those who need a tougher-than-average camera. The WG-1 is dustproof, can withstand freezing temperatures down to 14F/10 C, can take a fall of 5 feet, can stand up under 220 pounds of pressure, and is waterproof down to 33 feet. There is no problem with moving and reviewing images and video with the Pentax Optio WG-1. You can watch your videos or review still images on any HDTV by connecting to the WG-1′s HDMI port. You can also transfer pictures and images via memory card, using the camera’s SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot. The Optio WG-1 also features Eye-fi capabilities.
Pentax makes two models of the WG-1. While both of the models have all of the features mentioned above, only the WG-1 GPS is capable of geo-tagging.
Both models of the Pentax Optio WG-1 are surprisingly affordable. The basic model can be purchased for around $349.95 and comes in purple (with black trim) or solid black. The GPS model can be had for about $399.95 and is available in light green (with black trim) or straight black. Even without the GPS capability, the Pentax Optio WG-1 is an outstanding camera, well suited for those who live active lifestyles or who just want a quality camera that can hold up well under stress.
