Michael Jordan Movie DVDs – The Early Years
In this day and age, we constantly listen to on the news and documentaries that he or she is the “Michael Jordan” of this or that. It provides everyone a belief which that past athlete was the greatest at that sport. Which leads me to describe the diverse Michael Jordan movie documentaries that have been launched since he entered the NBA in 1984.
First of all, I would like to give you a summary to the best of my knowledge of who Michael Jordan is. He was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1963. But he was raised in Wilmington, North Carolina. For the duration of his child years and teenage days, like the video – “Come Fly With Me” – Jordan’s first movie – he describes the everyday battles on the basketball court which he would have with his brother Larry. One of the most famous failures in the history of sport that propelled Jordan to be the ideal basketball player of all time was once he was cut in the Varsity Basketball team. Can you even imagine that! Jordan getting cut on any team is incredible.
That incident is what would fuel Jordan and ignite a spark in him to become the outstanding basketball player he was. We listen to it all the time, you only become successful once you fail. One of the Michael Jordan movie advertisements was a Nike advertising when he explained he fails and fails all the time. That is why he Succeeds.
The 2nd documentary is referred to as Michael Jordan’s playground. It commences off with a teen attempting to make the basketball team in junior high school. But at some point he is not selected. He goes to the local basketball court and tries to determine why he wasn’t good enough. Afterwards Michael Jordan appears. So essentially Jordan is telling the kid not to give up. If he doesn’t make it this year, working even harder to make the team next 12 months. Generally this is a Michael Jordan highlight reel of his beginning years in the NBA.
By the 1988 NBA season – Jordan won both the MVP and Defensive Player of the year award. He even now wasn’t thought of great yet because he had not won a title yet. Those seasons just before he won the championship, his greatest test was the Detroit Pistons. For 3 years straight the Bulls would lose to the Pistons in the Playoffs. There had been critics saying that a scoring champion could not be a NBA champion as well. Jordan would get very cross with this thinking and want to show all people wrong.
He did so by winning his initial NBA championship in 1991 when they swept the Detroit Pistons in the Playoffs 4 games to zero. They then topped the Los Angeles Lakers – led by hall of famer – Magic Johnson, in 5 games. Jordan was announced the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player.
There have been many more Michael Jordan movie documentaries made since 1991 that chronicles his rise to the upper echelons of the NBA to the point where he is now considered the best basketball player ever.
