Are you into watching today’s hit movies or can you not get enough sports action? If so, a home theater system is going to elevate your TV experience to a new level.
A home theater system with a DVD player has been quite popular for many years. They include a center channel speaker, a pair of front speakers, surround sound speakers and a sub.
The receiver works as the amplifier. It sends power to all of the speakers. Much like a car amplifier would for car speakers.
Blu-ray technology has sparked an interest in many movie lovers. It offers exceptional picture definition that a DVD cannot compete with which is why many choose it.
Should you choose DVD over blu-ray? Well, if you have a larger TV, maybe 40 inches or bigger, blu-ray will display the best quality. If you have a ton of DVDs, you might stay with a DVD player.
Most people would say that blu-ray is still too expensive for their wallets. Not just the player, but for the movie discs as well. Places like NetFlix allow you to rent blu-ray movies online for cheap.
Another option is getting a home theater system without a blu-ray or DVD player. If you already have a disc player, this option would be best for you.
What is the difference when you compare 5.1 and 7.1? If you have a large room, 7.1 channel would probably be best.
The original, 5.1 channel has been around for a very long time. The 7.1 channel system are relatively newer. Both have a center speakers, front speakers, and rear speakers.
A seven point one system has the same but also adds another separate pair of surround sound speakers. This increases the surround sound experience.
Instead of only having rear speakers placed behind the listener, you will now be able to have rear speakers on the right and left sides and also behind you.
If you live in an apartment, a 5.1 system would be ideal. But do not hold back, if you want more speakers, go ahead, buy a 7.1 system.
