Gone are the days of film prints. But we must take a look at some hidden benefits films may had over photography. Now, we shall talk about the advantages and disadvantages of film and digital photography. Picture Clarity

As much as people like photos, a lot of people wants taking them even more. Whether it’s a mother who get pictures on every of her children’s precious happenings in life (first smile, first step, first burger meal) or maybe it’s the father who always remember his camera for a football or basketball game, or perhaps it’s the young girl who like nature hikes with her camera; these people are not exempted. Each one of them has the skill for those wonderful moments and they all understand the camera’s ability to capture that wonderful moment and freeze it in time forever.

Films photographs are not made up of pixels. Instead, what you see in the picture is exactly how the actual thing looks like when the exposed on the negative. In short, film is capable of reproducing curved lines. Pixels do nothing more but replicate the idea of a curve, while films reproduce the actual curve. Negatives never rely on pixels but may not be as extensive as digital ones.

Quality Images

Note that in order for films to render images, they have to be subjected to two chemical processing. First on, light exposes the negatives. Light is again used to transfer images into paper. One has to be very careful during this process. One problem could go wrong during the negative exposures. Second problem would be paper deterioration.

This plays an important factor film reproduction. Restoring pictures require the presence of the original source, which are the negatives. The only thing left to do, from then on, is to process a copied image. Negatives will give restoration experts the ability to reproduce the first-hand images out of it.

Digital photography can have its down sides too. Digital files may be corrupted initially. The quality of the image would only be as quality as the original file, but i can still be reduced. Printing isn’t exactly a safe process for digital. Pair up quality pictures with quality printers. Picture quality might not be assured.

Film and digital photography have very salient similarities as well as differences.
