You might want to invest a few hundred dollars in these programs if you want to get off to an excellent start.

Before we move onto some of the next steps you have to understand one misconception. It is not impossible to make a good income from your photography, as many people think. They explain that almost every person has a digital camera or a camera phone. Most people think that no one will pay for pictures when people can take their own pictures.

You can do it this way. The fact of the matter is that everyone has some sort of camera. However, how many people can really use them?

Take a look at the pictures many people take. Not everyone has creativity, showmanship, or skill. These pictures suck. Motion blur from holding the camera incorrectly. Poor color. Awkwardly posed subjects. No composition skills. They do not know how to avoid things like shadows over their subjects faces. Even those people that know how to use photo editing software may need help when it comes to taking amazing pictures. You can only do so much with correcting a bad photograph.

Plus, when the average Joe attempts to print their photos, things can go awry. I am sure you have seen photos like this. The prints have bad, splotchy resolution. The person that takes the picture does not understand how camera settings can make pictures more suitable for printing.

This is excellent news for you. Use your extensive digital photography skills to work up a few samples that you can show to potential customers and reel them in.

Don’t think this is likely? Let me tell you about a birthday party I attended recently. The host paid an amateur photograph who wanted to start their own business just like you.

Most of the people at the party brought their own digital cameras, but most people forgot to take pictures. Those people that did take pictures took bad pictures and could not get a good angle on the scene.

Of course, the photographer was paid for her services. A couple of days later, the photographer posted the photos on a web site. People that went to the party got the link to the pictures through email. Guests could then download, print, or save to disk any photos they wanted.

The photograph did not even have to print or develop the photos and they were paid for their services as well.

Pretty awesome, huh? You can do this too. Develop your photography skills, get a marketing plan and say Cheese!
